The Nonfiction Book Blast: Booktalks and Activities for Your School and Library series was created by Anastasia Suen as a way to showcase the best in children’s and young adult nonfiction. Each year a new panel of award-winning nonfiction authors is selected to speak at the American Library Association Annual conference.
In the premiere appearance in Chicago, seventeen authors booktalked their nonfiction for young readers in 2009. Two years later, book activities were added to the panel as ten authors shared booktalks, video clips and activities in New Orleans in 2011.
The series will continue in 2012 with new authors!
